☁️ 📖 Learn By Doing Volume 01 💻🔨

Hey!

I spend most of my day researching, reading about, and experimenting with a wide variety of different technologies. Most of the time it is related to the cloud, but sometimes I go off and venture into blockchain or a new programming language.

I often share the great things I find on the interwebs via Twitter. But I thought it would be great to send a weekly snapshot to you as well.

Behold the weekly "Learn By Doing" newsletter.

Every week I will send you this email that is packed full of links I found during the week in my own research, reading, and experimentation. I might even add a little bit of commentary on particular links that I find interesting or noteworthy.

Without further ado, here is volume 1 of the learn by doing newsletter.

What is a static website? A common question I get on Twitter is what exactly a "static website" is. With my new book and video course I was trying to find a common explanation for the term. This article from Netlify really summarizes it pretty well.

VuePress: Vue-powered Static Site Generator We had Hugo, Gatsby, and many others, but nothing for the craze that is VueJs when it came to static site generators. If you were wishing for one, now you got it. I haven't given it a whirl yet, so please pass along your feedback here or on Twitter.
